Proposed hydrogen production, storage and demonstration facility
Public information meeting
H100 Fife is a pioneering project from SGN that aims to demonstrate 100% green hydrogen heating in homes. As part of the project we’re planning to construct a hydrogen production, storage and demonstration facility at Energy Park Fife in Methil.
We’ll be hosting an online public information meeting, chaired by a Fife Council representative, on Wednesday 10 March 2021 at 6:30pm. The meeting will be an opportunity for the local community to learn more about the project. If you have any questions you would like raised at the meeting please send these by Sunday 7 March using our online enquiry form.
We’re also organising an online chat drop-in session. Visit this website between 1pm and 3pm on Friday 12 March to chat one-to-one with the project team.
H100 Fife is seeking to deliver a ‘first of a kind’ demonstration of a 100% hydrogen network, initially supplying 300 domestic customers. The project is set out to prove the role that hydrogen can play in decarbonising heat and will comprise of an end to end system, including power generation incorporating offshore wind, hydrogen production, storage, pressure reduction, odorisation, distribution and customer connections serving domestic hydrogen meters and appliances.

H100 Fife is our pioneering plan to build a world-first 100% green hydrogen-to-homes demonstration network. Local customers in Levenmouth will be the first in the world to heat their homes and cook their food using 100% zero carbon hydrogen, produced through electrolysis powered by an offshore wind turbine.
